Canon-McMillan has recently subscribed to myLunchMoney which is an on-line credit card prepayment service to allow parents to prepay for their child’s school breakfast and lunch purchases using their credit card.  Now parents can go into their student’s account and see their meal history.  Are you curious about what your student is eating while they are at school?  How much are they spending?  Now you can see for yourself.   If you have set a spending limit for your child, you can see that information as well.  If you want to change it, just call your school’s kitchen.  You do not have to use MyLunchMoney to fund your child’s account to use these features.  You just need to enroll!

For those of you using MyLunchMoney to fund your child’s account, e-mail notifications when the account balance gets low and expired credit cards.  This will really help to keep your child’s account current and working without interruption.  If you have more than one child using MyLunchMoney, you can fund their accounts at the same time.  We want to make your MyLunchMoney experience as easy and efficient as possible.

Currently MyLunchMoney is not accepting any more payments for the remainder of the school year. You will be able to deposit money again at the beginning for the 2011-12 school year.

• Easy: Enrolling and funding is simple and completed online.
• Convenient: Once your account is established, you can check balances and fund the account from your computer, phone or fax for free.
• Secure: Your personal and payment card information is protected by the most advanced internet security.
• Never have to worry about doing it again: With our recurring payment option, money will always be in your child’s account. When a low balance is reached, money is automatically deposited.
• Cost: There is a $1.95 fee per transaction. For example, if you deposit $25.00 in your child's account, you will be charged $1.95 for a total charge of $26.95 for the transaction. (Again, there is no fee to access your child's account to check the balance.)


How Do I Enroll?
•  Go to www.myLunchMoney.com and click ENROLL NOW
  Create an account for yourself and your children. We will be sending a letter home with your child with your child’s district ID number. You’ll need that along with your child’s date of birth, school, and grade to enroll.
  You will then be asked to provide credit or debit card information
  Select the Automatic Pre-Payment Option if you’d like to have a recurring payment made on your child’s account.
You can also enroll getting an enrollment form from your school’s cook and mailing it in or calling the toll-free customer support center at 1-800-479-3531. The call center is also available to answer any questions you may have about using the myLunchMoney web site. We believe that, based on comments from other parents, you will enjoy this service, and we hope you can take advantage of all its benefits.  Your payment will be credited to your child’s account within 24-72 hours, depending on the time it takes to communicate to your credit card holder and back.

If you enroll with the recurring payment option, you can set up each of your children’s accounts so that a payment will be placed on their account when their account balance reaches a certain amount.  For example, you can set up a recurring payment of $25.00 when your child’s account gets to $5.00.  Once you set this up, you will not have to go back into myLunchMoney unless you change credit cards, the expiration date changes on your card or your student changes schools.
